European Comedy is a hub for all things English comedy on mainland Europe.
Founded in 2023 in conjunction with Barcelona’s Comedy Clubhouse, John Allis, we aim to connect English-speaking comedians and audiences throughout Europe. We see a future filled with European Comedy shows, workshops, publications, short-form content, podcasts, and more media with a focus on building up the English-speaking European comedy scene. For now, we are working to lift up the best talents based in Europe through awards and performance opportunities.
Mission

Our Team
John leads the company, owns the vision and business direction, handles legals, and makes the financial decisions. A comedian from New Zealand based in Barcelona since 2016, he has watched (& helped) the Barcelona comedy scene grow. Since moving to Barcelona he has written & performed a successful Edinburgh Fringe show, become a #1 best selling author, opened for Tom Segura & started a comedy club. He is now investing into growing the wider European comedy scene and providing more opportunities for Europe based comedians.
Belinda develops growth strategy and manages partnerships, audience development, and public/media relations. She is a Native New Yorker, long-time expat, entrepreneur, international headliner speaker, and comedian globally, among other things. A storyteller who loves the unfolding of a story, keeping people engaged, and taking the time to truly understand her audience. Over the past 25 years, she’s developed many passions spanning from Inbound Marketing, traveling the world, bringing people together through laughter, studying emerging technologies that make people’s lives easier, and more.
